Over 30,000 land titles distributed in Haveri dist, says minister

Haveri: Over 30,000 beneficiaries in the district received various land titles at a land guarantee meeting held in the city on Saturday, Haveri district minister Shivanand Patil stated in his press note.A total of 20,186 revenue village titles, 7,825 e-pouthi, 502 application podi, 1,675 PMGA, and 16 Bagar Hukum titles were distributed. About 10,000 various titles are still pending, and the preparation process is ongoing, according to the statement."The number of beneficiaries from the district was significant in the titles distributed on Saturday. As the district minister, this gives me joy," Patil said. Significant changes are being made in the revenue department, with comprehensive changes introduced using modern technology, scientific tools, and well-equipped additional staff to permanently resolve issues faced by the public in managing the department's assets and land records, he added.He said several programmes were implemented, including paperless e-office administration, correction of old land sanction records with Nanna Bhoomi, linking land records with Aadhaar, fast-tracking pending revenue court cases, immediate account changes through automation, and protection of govt assets through Land Bit. Among these programmes, he said, the revenue village scheme, which provided adjacent titles to recordless village residents, was a promising initiative.Patil said the state govt completed 1,000 days, and the district had the opportunity to organise a land guarantee submission meeting in Haveri, which was conducted very successfully. The cooperation from revenue minister Krishna Byre Gowda, all district representatives, party leaders, and the efforts of the district administration, zilla panchayat, and police department officials made the land guarantee submission meeting successful."We will continue on this path for the district's development," the minister stated."Chief minister Siddaramaiah and deputy chief minister DK Shivakumar provided the opportunity and support for organising the land guarantee meeting in Haveri.
