Mandya: Boy crushed under wheels of school bus

MANDYA: A 4-year-old boy fatally fell off his schoolbus after the vehicle hit a pothole in Molekopalu village in Mandya district on Saturday, sparking protest by local residents.
The protesters blamed the government for poor roads and accused the school management of disregarding the safety of students. The doors of the scholbus were not closed when the accident took place.Srinidhi, a student of SLN Convent School, Satanur, came under the wheel after falling off the school bus. The child died on the spot.
"Had the road been free of potholes and the bus safe, the child would have been alive today," said a villager.
