Man dies in swimming pool

Davanagere: A 23-year-old man, who went to a swimming pool in Byadagi of Haveri district, died after diving on Sunday. The deceased is Dakanachari Nagaraj Badiger, 23, a resident of Byadagi. He went to Mahakuteshwar Swaimming Pool, located on Kakol Road, along with his friends. The CCTV shows him diving into the pool head down. Although he struggled to stay afloat, he did not succeed. His friends, who were swimming, did not notice Badiger struggling. After sometime, another swimmer noticed him at the bottom of the pool and brought him out of the pool. Pool sources said efforts to make him breathe went in vain. Byadagi police registered a case.
