Lokayukta raids fisheries dept officer in Ballari
Ballari: Lokayukta officials on Tuesday conducted simultaneous raids on the house and offices of fisheries department assistant director Shivanna. The action was initiated following serious allegations that Shivanna had amassed assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. A team of officials carried out searches at four locations, including his house in Siddharth Nagar and office. Acting on complaints about his alleged ill-gotten wealth, the Lokayukta raided the places to verify the allegations and gather evidence. Officials are examining documents and records found at the houses and other premises.
