BJP MLA MP Renukacharya has urged the state government to ban madrasas in the state as these are teaching anti-national lessons to children.

Speaking to reporters here on Saturday, Renukacharya, who is also the political secretary to the CM Basavaraj Bommai, alleged that I got reports that the children who are studying in madrasas are hesitating to chant Bharat Mata

Ki Jai

. These students would end up being anti-nationals one day, he said.

Why should we have such madrasas which are turning innocent children into anti-nationals. I will request and urge the chief minister Basavaraj Bommai to take the decision to ban these madrasas in the interest of our nation. The current madrass system is converting children into anti-national, and they should be banned, he demanded.

He said that we have other schools where students from all communities including Hindu, Christians study the common syllabus.

He also suggested that madrasas should also be made to teach the common syllabus that we teach in other schools across the state.
