JD(S) leaders protest againt BJP in streets

BIJAPUR: JD(S) leaders and workers arranged a rally in the main streets of the city on Saturday as a mark of protest against the BJP's activites as part of Operation Lotus.
They assembled in Gandhi Chowk and burnt an effigy of chief minister B S Yeddyurappa and criticized the attitude of the BJP government and assembly speaker.
The workers said the BJP government had utterly failed in all fields and stood first in corruption.They also urged the governor to suspend the state government and investigate the assets of BJP ministers and MLAs. Former minister and district president M C Managuli, leaders Vijaykumar Patil, Dilawar Khaji, Chandrakant Hiremath, Reshma Padekanur, M C Mulla, Sanganna Karadi, Raghu Annigeri, Shantappa Jatti, Raju Hipparagi, Yakub Jatti, Sujata Deginal, Jayasri Chigari, Mahadevi Katnalli and many others participated in the rally.
