Festivities in Hubballi city

Hubballi: Devotees celebrated Maha Shivaratri with devotion and spiritual fervour in the city. They visited temples where Shivaratri events are arranged. Thousands of devotees visited the model of Kedarnath temple set at Gymkhana ground by the Kshamata organisation headed by union minister Pralhad Joshi. Organisers distributed five-faced Rudraksha. Joshi inaugurated the temple by offering Abhisheka to the Kedaranath Linga.Devotional songs by noted singers Ananya Bhat and Naveen Sajju and Shiva Tandava by We Direct were organised till late at night. There was a long queue of devotees at Siddharoodh Math since the morning. Hundreds of people visited the Shiva statue in Shivapur area on Gokul Road and offered prayers. Devotees offered the puja at Eshwar temple near the railway station. Kashi Vishwanath temple at Vishweshwara Nagar and Keshwapur were filled with devotees. TNN
