Fake death certificate produced to grab property; complaint filed
RAICHUR: A case has come to light in Sindhanur of the district, wherein a person's death certificate was prepared while he is still alive, in an attempt to grab his property.
The Karnataka Raitha Sangha has filed a complaint with the deputy commissioner, alleging that some people have created a false death certificate stating that a man named Pamaiah Nandalli was dead and even made two other persons heirs to his property. Pamaiah is a resident of Kalmangi village in Turvihala hobli of Sindhanur taluk. He owns 2 acres and 6 guntas in Survey No. 318/1 and 2 acres and 6 guntas in Survey No.318/2 - a total of 4 acres and 12 guntas land in his name in Kalmangi area. These are inherited properties and he is the direct heir. He has also taken a crop loan on this land.
Karnataka Raitha Sangha, which has complained to the DC in this regard, has provided the details of the fraud. Even though Pamaiah Nandalli is alive, some people have created a death certificate of a person named Pamaiah, a resident of Vaddarahatti in Gangavathi taluk of Koppal district along with a false genealogy and made Hanumanagouda Ramanagouda and Durugamma Rajugouda as the legal heirs. The village accountant of Kalmangi allegedly cooperated with the fake heirs using poti virasat (inheritance after death).
Based on the same points, the victim Pamaiah also filed a complaint with the DC on May 15.
