‘Embrace growth and create unique opportunities’

Davanagere: ASM Technologies Ltd's founder and MD, Rabindra Srikantan, who also chairs CII Karnataka, shared two essential principles with students—venture beyond comfort zones and adopt the blue ocean strategy.Speaking at the Kirloskar Institute of Management's convocation ceremony in Harihar on Saturday, Rabindra emphasised that while comfort zones feel secure, they limit growth. He highlighted that the external environment, despite being competitive and unpredictable, presents numerous possibilities for bold explorers. He suggested creating one's unique market space (blue ocean) rather than competing in saturated markets (red ocean) for sustainable future success.KFIL managing director and Kirloskar Institute of Management's governing council representative, Ravindranath Gumaste, commenced the ceremony with welcome remarks. Senior professor VS Pai presented the institute's annual achievements for 2024-2025.The ceremony recognised Rupayan Banerjee (gold medallist) and Srijitha Ghosh (silver medallist) for academic excellence. Domain-specific awards were presented to Rupayan Banerjee (finance), Sakshi Sharma (marketing), Jayashree Veni Puppala (human resources), Ujjwal Kumar Paul (operations), and Sangram Das (operations).Bank of Baroda regional manager Pankaj Kumar Suman distributed BoB cash prizes to outstanding graduates in academics, sports, and all-around performance categories.Dean of academics Nagaraj BV administered the professional and ethical oath to graduates. The event was attended by governing council members, including Wing Commander A Raghunath, KFIL Koppal's HR vice-president Narayana, Kirloskar Institute of Management Pune Campus director TG Vijaya, alongside teaching and non-teaching staff.
