HUBBALLI: Hubballi Division of South Western Railway observed Rashtriya Ekta Diwas on Monday, commemorating the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Railway officials and staff participated in the ‘Run for unity’ programme that was organised as part of the event. Harsh Khare, divisional railway manager, administered ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ pledge to officers and staff at the divisional office.
3 held for burglaryHosapete: Hosapete Rural police have arrested three men from MP Prakash Nagara here for burgling Rs 2.7 lakh worth of valuables, and 5.5 kg silver ornaments, from a house at Amruteshwar Nagara on the outskirts of the city, on Monday. The house belongs to Ayyali Timmappa, and the burglary took place on October 25, when the residents had gone out of town to celebrate Deepavali. The three accused, Bantru Pavadeppa, Hanumesh Tammudu, and K Manikanth, all belong to Chapparadahalli, in the outskirts of the city.
