Dist Sainik School wins trophy for 9th time

The Sainik School in Bijapur, has maintained its supremacy amongst all the Sainik Schools of the country, by defeating teams from the north, east, west and central zones in the inter-zonal hockey tournament held at Tilaiya (Jharkhand) Sainik School from October 4 to 7.

BIJAPUR: The Sainik School in Bijapur, has maintained its supremacy amongst all the Sainik Schools of the country, by defeating teams from the north, east, west and central zones in the inter-zonal hockey tournament held at Tilaiya (Jharkhand) Sainik School from October 4 to 7.
The cadets of Bijapur Sainik School showed their indomitable spirit by lifting the eventful hockey trophy for the ninth time.

Cadet Arun added another golden feather to his cap, by being adjudged the `Best Hockey Player' of the tournament.
School principal, Captain Jatinder Kumar, complemented the coach and other officials for their devotion and said that the glory achieved this year will further invigorate their spirit to retain the trophy for years to come.
It was a befitting tribute to the school hockey team to S Masilamani, the hockey coach, who has been instrumental in many a famous victories of the school hockey team.
