Dental student bags gold medal

DAVANAGERE: Utsav Mukherjee, a BDS student of College of Dental Sciences (CODS), Davanagere, has bagged the gold medal by the Rajiv Gandhi University for Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangalore, for having secured the highest marks in `preventive and community dentistry' exam held recently here. Every year, RGUHS awards a gold medal to students who secure the highest marks in the subject.
In fact, the gold medal was instituted by Marketing Colgate Palmolive India Ltd., Colgate Research Centre, Bombay, in the name of Colgate IDA, said CODS principal V V Subba Reddy. Head of the preventive and community dentistry G N Chandu, faculty and college management congratulated him for his achievement.
