Cong practises appeasement politics, give us majority: Shah

Hubballi/Hassan/Chamarajanagar: Union home minister Amit Shah said on Monday that if Karnataka were to be freed from the “appeasement politics” of Congress, then the Karnataka electorate must ensure a full majority for BJP in the May 10 elections.
“I want to assure the people of Karnataka that whatever the formula of reservation adopted by the Bommai government will be implemented in toto. This includes internal reservation for Dalits. This is our promise,” Shah said in Hubballi.
He added that the BJP government has abolished the unconstitutional 4% reservation created by Congress for Muslims to forge its politics of appeasement.
“The reservation created on the basis of religion has been withdrawn by BJP, and the benefits have been distributed among SCs, STs, OBCs, Vokkaligas and Lingayats, introducing social justice,” he said. However, Congress is saying it will reintroduce Muslim reservations. “I want to ask them with utmost humility: ‘Whose share of quota will you reduce to bring it (the quota for Muslims) back? Would you reduce that of Vokkaligas, Lingayats, Dalits, or STs? Congress should be clear on this’,” Shah said.
