Dharwad: Music lovers in Dharwad will have a feast of top grade music on January 28 when Bharateeya Sangeeta Vidyalaya Trust organizes a “Bhairavadinda Bhairavi” (From Raag Bhairav to Bhairavi) at Srujana Auditorium. The concert will be held in memory of Pandit Bhimsen Joshi.
Hindustani classical vocalists Chetana Banawat of Mumbai, Pandit Ganapati Bhat Hasanagi, Ustad Arshad Ali Khan of Kolkata, Arti Kundalkar of Pune, Anand Bhate of Pune and sitarist Ustad Shafeeq Khan of Dharwad will perform on the occasion.
The programme will begin with Chetana Banavat’s concert at 9am followed by a vocal recital by Ganapati Bhat. Arshad Ali Khan and Arti Kundalkar will perform in the post-lunch session beginning 2pm. The evening session starting at 6pm will feature performances by Shafeeq Khan and Anand Bhate.
Shridhar Mandre, Pandit Raveendra Yavagal, Ravikiran Nakod (tabala), Guruprasad Hegde, Vyasamurthy Katti and Suyog Kundalkar (harmonium) will accompany the artistes.
