Bommai declines honorary doctorate from Haveri University

Haveri: MP and former chief minister Basavaraj Bommai has declined to accept an honorary doctorate from Haveri University and explained his decision in a post on social media platform ‘X'.Bommai said he had already informed university officials that he would not accept the honorary doctorate. He said that as a person engaged in public service, he does not seek awards for his work.Stating that the love and trust of the people are the greatest honours in public life, Bommai reiterated that he would politely decline the honorary doctorate.
