Belagavi: The Bharatesh Education Trust (BET) in Belagavi has organised a Bring It On Bollywood musical programme by Sachet Tandon and Parampara Tandon, a musician composer, vocalist and lyricist duo, on January 20 as a part of its diamond jubilee celebration year.
BET was established in 1962 and runs 19 educational institutions — schools, homoeopathy medical college, nursing college, polytechnic, ITI, undergraduate branches and post graduate institutions — in Belagavi. Over 8,000 students get education at these centres. The programme will be held in an open area behind the main building of BET on Dharwad Road.
On Friday, chairman Jinadatta Desai and managing committee member Vinod Doddannavar said stringent security arrangements have been made for the event, which is not allowed for outsiders. Doddannavar said the four-day cultural extravaganza will start on January 17.
On the first day, there will be an alumni meet of DY Chougule Bharatesh High School, the first school of BET, that is celebrating its diamond jubilee. Noted Kannada actor Charanraj, an alumnus, will be the chief guest.
Mystic Melodies, a contemporary spiritual music programme by Aparna Bhat from Mumbai has been planned on January 18.
The silver jubilee celebration of Padmaraj Ariga Bharatesh College of Business Administration has been organized on January 19.
