Belagavi district admin celebrates Basava Jayanti

Inaugurating the programme, minister Satish Jarkiholi said Basavanna has been declared the cultural leader of the state. He said Basavanna's principles are relevant even today and should be widely propagated and followed, as they serve as a model for the entire world.Inaugurating a grand ceremony at Shahapur Basaveshwar Circle Park, minister Satish Jarkiholi said Jayanti celebrations will be meaningful only when ideological awareness is created. The humanist thoughts of Buddha, Basava and Ambedkar should reach every stratum of society.
