suicide

The deceased has been identified as Shruthi Kuppalaguddi. She was found hanging from a ceiling fan.
According to police, she used her saree to commit suicide. Hours before she died, Shruthi sent a WhatsApp text to her father asking him to take care of her 15-month-old daughter. The father has filed a complaint at Ghataprabha
police
station against her husband Neelakanta Kuppalaguddi alleging harassment. The couple had married about two years ago, police stated.
The police said, in the complaint it is alleged that Neelakanta had become an alcoholic and harassed Shruthi. She had slipped into depression and had developed suicidal tendencies, the police stated. The police informed that after Shruthi texted, her father made several calls which went unanswered. At 10 pm Neelakanta found out his wife’s body, police stated.
