Ballari MP reviews credit plan progress, calls for faster loan sanctions

He urged officials to work with a sense of responsibility and humanity so that the intended beneficiaries, particularly the poor, could access financial assistance without delays.ZP CEO Mohammed Haris Sumer said banks should function as a backbone for common citizens. Loans provided by banks should be viewed as part of financial services and business activities rather than charity, he said, stressing the importance of supporting livelihoods.During the meeting, Tukaram instructed officials to review pending loan applications and ensure that targets set under the district's Annual Credit Plan for priority sectors were achieved.
The MP also reviewed the progress of schemes such as Udyogini, PMEGP and PM Swanidhi.ZP deputy secretary Shashikant Shivpure, RBI Bengaluru AGM Prabhakar R, Canara Bank Regional Manager Arun Kumar AJ, Lead Bank Manager Girish V Kulkarni, Nabard AGM Yuvaraj Kumar RS, along with district-level officials from various departments and RM-level officers of several banks, were present.
