Alvas Nudisiri from Nov 6

BELGAUM: Alvas Shikshan Pratisthan has called upon Belgaum litterateurs to participate in the Alvas Nudisiri - 09, in large numbers. This national convention on Kannada language and culture will be held for three days, from November 6, at Moodbidre in Dakshin Kannada district.
Kannada soul towards coordination will be the concept of this 6th annual convention.Senior historian Hampa Nagarajayya will preside over the convention, said Dhanajay Kumble, secretary for welcome committee, to reporters here on Wednesday.
Poet N S Lakshminarayan Bhatt will inaugurate the convention on November 6. In valedictory function, D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari, Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala will confer Alvas Nudisiri awards to Sarojini Mahishi, Sudhamurty, B A Sanadi, R C Chandrashekhar, Jaymala, K Govind Batt, Prof M Ramachandrappa, Prof K P Rao and Sukri Bommagouda and dramatist Prasanna.
