Actuators built in Belagavi used in Agni-V launch

BELAGAVI: It’s another feather in the cap of Belagavi. The actuators for

fin control actuation

(for navigation and guidance) used in

Agni-V

missile has been designed in Belagavi-based

Servocontrols

.

Speaking to TOI, proprietor of the company, Deepak Dhaduti said that Servocontrols had supplied 10 actuators in which two were used for the launch of Agni-V.

The nuclear capable Agni-V, an intercontinental ballistic missile was successfully test-fired from

Wheeler Island

off Odisha on Monday.

Servocontrols, which works on aerospace technology, had supplied position sensors for Isro’s Mars Orbiter Mission in 2014.
