7 arrested in murder case

Hubballi: Keshwapur police have arrested seven persons in connection with a murder that took place on July 17. Police commissioner PH Rane told reporters that Manjunath alias Dol Manjya S Pujar murdered Sadiq Rafiq Gokak, 22, with the help of Manjunath alias Bhoot Manjya N Shiraguppi, Iranna alias Veeru B Harakuni, Manikanth alias Appya M Adargunchi, Maruti S Gollar, Mutturaj V Amaravati, Dadapeer S Jamadar and Mallesh.One of his accomplices, Mallesh is absconding. "The search is on to nab him," said Rane.
He said that Sadiq was involved in the murder of Manjya's cousin Deepak Javare Gowda in August 2015 and was out on bail. "Manjya murdered Sadiq to avenge his cousin's killing. A team led by DCP Jinendra Khanagavi and involving inspectors Ali Shaikh, Prabhugouda D K, Jagadish Hanchinal and personnel of Keshwapur and Ashok Nagar police nabbed the accused within a week," he said.
