The All Nyishi Youth Association (ANYA) has called a 24-hour Capital bandh on December 27 to protest against the failure of the state government to fulfill their charter of demands.

ITANAGAR: The All Nyishi Youth Association (ANYA) has called a 24-hour Capital bandh on December 27 to protest against the failure of the state government to fulfill their charter of demands.
Earlier, the youth body had demanded creation of Kamla district with headquarters at Raga and Pakke-Kessang district with its headquarters at Lemmi.
The association also demanded immediate road connection between Gumto to Kimin via Dingka, Bogli, and Habia and Lora villages and between Tarasso to Balijan via Ramghat.

Their other demands included detection and deportation of Chakmas and Hajongs from Nyishi-inhabited areas, immediate fast track court trial of the rapist and murderer of Bhalukpong and Yazali rape and murder incidents and immediate shifting of hume pipe factory from Barapani to another suitable place.
On December 10, the association had served a 10-day ultimatum to the state government to address their demands, a press release said here on Wednesday.
