Agartala: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) organized a rally on Tuesday at the India-Bangladesh border in North Tripura, citing concerns over the persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh.
The protest was held at the Raghna border, where participants appealed to the public to refrain from purchasing Bangladeshi products.
VHP leaders submitted a memorandum to officials at the Indian Customs ORB LCS office, listing their demands.
The rally followed the murder of Hindu youth Deepu Chandra Das and what the organization described as "continuing atrocities against the Hindu community in Bangladesh". Birendra Das, the rally organizer, told the media that participants first assembled at Dharamnagar BBI Maidan around noon.

From there, they proceeded in bikes and vehicles to the Raghna border, where they demanded a suspension of trade and import-export activities with Bangladesh until the persecution of Hindus stops.
Hundreds of people joined the rally, raising slogans like “Jai Shri Ram,” “Vande Mataram,” “Victory to Mother India,” and “Hindus of the world, unite.”
