Dimapur: The Nagaland state disaster management authority (NSDMA) has issued a warning of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, gusty winds and heavy rainfall in several districts of the state till Monday.In its weather update, the NSDMA stated that districts, including Peren, Dimapur, Kohima, Wokha, and Mokokchung, are likely to experience heavy rain along with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds of 30 to 40 km per hour.Mon, Longleng, Tuensang, and Zunheboto districts are also expected to witness thunderstorms with lightning during the period.Thunderstorms with lightning are likely at isolated places in Peren, Dimapur, Kohima, Wokha, Mokokchung, Longleng, and Mon districts on Monday.The update stated that weather conditions are expected to remain generally stable across Nagaland on Tuesday.
