GUWHATI: BCCI consultant and sports medicine expert Anant Joshi applauded cricket's master blaster Sachin Tendulkar for maintaining a high graph throughout his career along with a fit body. Joshi, who has been taking care of Sachin's health for a long time, said the master can go a long way in playing cricket because of his fit body.
Joshi said Sachin keeps himself motivated for the game and maintains his body fitness. "Sachin is an extraordinary sportsman. He listens to his body. Everybody thought he would retire after the World Cup, but he proved all wrong. Though many talk of his age, I feel in the last five years he has prolonged his career and is at his fittest best. As his doctor, I can say he is one of the most mature persons I've ever met," Joshi said.
While sharing his worry about Team India's food habits, the Mumbai-based orthopaedic specialist, said Sachin was one of the few cricketers who kept a strict check on his diet.
"Food is one major problem areas for the players of India. Sachin is also a foodie and he likes to eat all kinds of cuisines, but he knows how to keep take care of his diet and is highly disciplined. He is gifted in many ways," smiled Joshi.
