95 FM, Guwahati, organized a Mirchi Challan activity at Zoo Road, near Jonali on Friday. With the help of Guwahati traffic police,

traffic violators

were caught and reminded of their traffic duties in a courteous way and a 'Mirchi challan' was given. Traffic violators were also crowned with a 'mukut'. Friday was the fifth and the final day of the on-ground activity by Mirchi Challan. Ravi Sharma, a popular Assamese actor, accompanied Radio Mirchi RJs and issued challans to the traffic violators on Thursday. Aimee Baruah, popular Assamese film actor, accompanied the RJs on November 20.

"The prime objective of this activity is to sensitise Guwahatians about traffic rules and to make them realize how important it is to obey them so as to ensure smooth traffic movement within the city," Mirchi 95 FM Guwahati programming head Bijoy Ghimire Radio said.
