Polling peaceful in Mizoram, voter turnout 60%

Aizawl: Almost 60% votes were polled in the election to the lone Mizoram Lok Sabha seat where polling on Friday.

Polling was peaceful with no untoward incident reported from anywhere, state election department officials said. The actual poll turnout will be known only after all the polling parties reach their respective district HQ, that may be late Saturday with a number of polling stations remaining incommunicado.
