GUWAHATI: The AICC has constituted a panel to look into the proposal of turning the state Congress headquarter into a commercial complex and make it a source of earning revenue to enrich its exchequer.

The committee has senior Congress leaders Debabrata Saikia, Gaurav Gogoi, Pradyut Bordoloi, Basanta Das and Rakibul Hussain as members, Borah said on Saturday.
“The building at Rajiv Bhawan is almost 70 years old. I sent the proposal to the AICC to construct a commercial complex by replacing it with a multistoried building for commercial complex,” Borah told TOI.
