NPF has every right to expand, says Rio

With controversy arising out of the Naga People's Front's entry into Arunachal Pradesh which is being opposed by many, including the Save Arunachal Forum and All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union (Aapsu), Nagaland chief minister Neiphi Rio on Saturday said there was nothing wrong in expanding his party to other parts of the country.

DIMAPUR: With controversy arising out of the Naga People's Front (NPF)'s entry into Arunachal Pradesh which is being opposed by many, including the Save Arunachal Forum and All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union (Aapsu), Nagaland chief minister Neiphi Rio on Saturday said there was nothing wrong in expanding his party to other parts of the country.
Rio said the NPF expanded its units to Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur on request of people in these two states.

"We are a registered political party. We can expand to any state. People should not be negative about that," he added. He said party president, Shurhozelie had already written to both the states about plans of the NPF set up its units in these states.
