No Naga People's front nominee in Arunachal Pradesh

KOHIMA: The Naga People's front (NPF) will not field any candidate in the two parliamentary constituencies of Arunachal Pradesh.
NPF sources said that the party would rather support BJP candidate Tapir Gao for the East Arunachal seat and back the Peoples Party of Arunachal (PPA) candidate for the West Arunachal seat. Both the Lok Sabha seats in Arunachal Pradesh will go to polls on April 9, along with Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram and Nagaland.
On the other hand, NPF ticket distribution ceremony for the Lok Sabha polls will take place on March 19 in Kohima. NPF president Dr Shurhozelie Liezietsu will formally hand over NPF party ticket to Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio for the Nagaland Lok Sabha seat and Soso Lorho for Outer Manipur LS seat.
