- Memorial hall inaugurated to honour late IPS officer in Tinsukia
In Tinsukia, a modern conference hall was inaugurated on Tuesday, honoring the late IPS officer Shiladitya Chetia. The Shiladitya Chetia, IPS Memorial Conference Hall, equipped with advanced facilities, will function as a key center for the district police. This dedication commemorates Chetia's bravery and dedication; the 2009-batch IPS officer tragically passed away on June 18, 2024, following his wife's death.
