Meghalaya recruits receive 124 appointment letters
Shillong: As part of the nationwide Rozgar Mela, an initiative enabling recruitments across various ministries and departments of the Centre, over 124 appointment letters were handed over to newly appointed recruits from Meghalaya at a function held at the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences here Monday.Union MoS (rural development) Kamlesh Paswan, who attended the function as the chief guest, congratulated the appointees and said, "I know how much hard work and dedication it takes to prepare for and secure a job. There is no greater joy than receiving the appointment letter after such efforts". He commended the PM's vision for ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat' and acknowledged the strides made in infrastructure development, particularly in the northeast."In the last 10 years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has transformed India through initiatives like Make in India, Start-up India, Digital India and others. In every sector, including rail, road and infrastructure, the northeast has received special attention and care," he said.Reflecting on Shillong's unique charm, Paswan said, "Since arriving here, I have been captivated by how vibrant this state is. I believe Shillong will continue to shine and flourish in the future".The minister extended Christmas wishes to all present and lauded the efforts of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and other departments.IG CRPF (northeastern sector) Danesh Rana said the Rozgar Mela was being held at 45 locations across the country under the leadership of the PM, with CRPF facilitating the programme in Meghalaya."Today, 124 appointees in Meghalaya are receiving their appointment letters across organisations like BSF, CRPF, Assam Rifles, Railways, SBI and ITBP," he added.Highlighting the critical role of security forces, he said, "CRPF, BSF and Assam Rifles are working together to maintain law and order, counter insurgency and safeguard borders. Together, these organisations sustain peace and contribute to national security".The programme also featured testimonies from appointees, who shared their journey and expressed gratitude for the opportunities provided by the govt.Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the gathering via video-conference, distributing over 71,000 appointment letters to newly appointed recruits nationwide, reaffirming the govt's commitment to employment generation and nation-building.
