, head of the department, mathematics, IIT Guwahati, on the occasion of International Literacy Day.

Motivating the students to fight against illiteracy, Bora said literacy day celebration should not be restricted to one day. Initiatives in this regard should be taken on the remaining 364 days with equal vigour. Bora taught the students about the relevance of technical education and contribution of IIT Guwahati for the society. UNESCO had declared September 8 as International Literacy Day on November 17, 1965.
