Guwahati: BJP chief ministers, Union ministers and state presidents from the northeast on Monday updated their X handles adding a 'Modi Ka Parivar' to their names along with others in the country.

This changing of 'X' handles came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a speech in Telangana said, "140 crore countrymen are my family. Today, crores of daughters, mothers and sisters of the country are Modi's family. Every poor person in the country is my family," in response to RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav taking at dig at him, saying, "What can we do if Narendra Modi does not have a family of his own?".

Sonowal, Rijiju & Bhoumik follow suit
Lalu's remark was against Modi slamming INDIA with dynasty politics jibe.

Besides Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, JP Nadda and many big guns of BJP, in the northeast three BJP CMs - Himanta Biswa Sarma of Assam, Tripura's CM Manik Saha and Arunachal Pradesh's Pema Khandu - too updated their X handles.

Shipping minister Sarbananda Sonowal and earth sciences Kiren Rijiju, union ministers of state Pratima Bhoumik and Rameswar Teli also updated their 'X' handles with 'Modi Ka Parivar' title.

Assam CM wrote on X, "Today the whole country is saying in one voice, I am Modi's family."

Khandu also wrote on X saying, "Privileged to be a member of Modi Ka Parivar, a family of karmayogis, selfless karyakartas dedicated to realize the goal of inclusive Viksit Bharat".

Besides, Assam state BJP president Bhabesh Kalita, Arunachal Pradesh state BJP President Biyuram Wahge and his Tripura counterpart, Rajib Bhattacharjee, also followed suit.
