Himanta visits Padma Bhushan awardee

Guwahati: Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief minister, on Tuesday visited veteran artist and eminent Satriya dance exponent Jatin Goswami at the latter's home at Noonmati and congratulated him on behalf of the people of Assam on being nominated for the Padma Bhusan Award for 2025.Sarma interacted with the nonagenarian dancer about his life-long devotion which earned him several recognitions and brought many laurels to the state. Sarma, acknowledging his achievement, said the honour bestowed on him would help him and his followers to take forward Assam's rich Satriya dance transcending all boundaries.
