Shillong: Governor Chandrashekhar H Vijayashankar flagged off a mobile medical unit sponsored by the Bharat Sevashram Sangha, Shillong, during a special ceremony held at the Raj Bhavan here on Tuesday. The event was attended by senior officials of the Raj Bhavan, the secretary of the Bharat Sevashram Sangha, a monk, besides followers and admirers of one of the country's foremost and revered religious and socio-cultural organizations. "The event highlighted the Bharat Sevashram Sangha's continued commitment towards delivering healthcare and outreach services to rural communities," an official statement said.
