Churches hold special services in Mizoram on Easter Sunday
Aizawl: Christians across Mizoram marked Easter Sunday with joy and solemn devotion, as churches of different denominations organised a series of services and celebrations throughout the day. In the early hours, people gathered for Sunrise Services, held both inside church buildings and on their premises, led by church elders and youth groups. The Salvation Army band parties played the hymn, ‘He’s Arisen’, waking people from their weekend slumbers in various locations across the state. In most churches, the observance continued with special services in the morning, afternoon and evening.
