TINSUKIA: In Assam's Tinsukia district, police discovered the burned remains of a male individual at a tea garden on Monday. The corpse was located within the premises of the Kachujan tea garden, according to authorities.
An investigation has been launched to identify the deceased and determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. Forensic experts were called to the scene to gather evidence and assist with the inquiry.
Local residents expressed shock and concern over the gruesome discovery. The management of the tea garden stated that they are fully cooperating with the police in their investigation.
"Police were informed about it in the early hours. We immediately rushed there and recovered the half-burnt body," an officer said.
The body was sent for post-mortem examination, but the identity of the victim could not be ascertained, he said.
"We have started an investigation. All angles are being probed," he added.
