Itanagar: The Army on Tuesday flagged off a four-day ‘’ to honour the heroes of the 1962 Sino-Indian War from the Military Station in ’s Lower Siang district.
The rally is an initiative of the Army to commemorate the indomitable spirit, courage and dedication of the soldiers who defended the nation’s frontiers under the most challenging conditions, an Army official said. He added that the 20 riders, including soldiers from the Army, Indo-Tibetan Border Police and 12 civilians from Assam and Arunachal Pradesh will cover around 900 km through rugged terrain and remote valleys of the frontier state.
