Assam woman kills 2 daughters, hangs self

SILCHAR: A 25-year-old woman allegedly killed her two daughters and later died by suicide following a spat with her husband at Chandrapur village in

Hailakandi

district on Wednesday.

Rimpi

Das first hanged her daughters,

Madhusree

and

Moutushi

, and then hanged herself from the ceiling, said police.

Police on Thursday said Rimpi had placed her Madhusree (2) on an elevated bamboo structure inside their house before stepping out to go to a nearby shop.

Her husband, Malay, saw Madhusree on the bamboo structure and got furious as he thought she could fall from there and get injured, following which they had a fight.
