Reforms 3.0 rolled out to foster Arunachal’s devpt
GUWAHATI: Arunachal Pradesh govt has rolled out its ambitious Reforms 3.0 initiative to foster the state’s development by customizing district-level growth strategies to local needs.
The program aims to improve ease of doing business by fully transitioning to online govt payments and establishing a centralized citizen data repository. Launched with the goal of inclusive, sustainable development, this initiative is expected to streamline processes and enhance public service delivery.
Reforms 3.0 is designed to develop a “Viksit Arunachal” by implementing district-level vision plans tailored to local requirements and aspirations. This comprehensive strategy centers on improving last-mile citizen service delivery, ensuring that every resident benefits from govt services. A key feature is the focus on transitioning to 100 per cent online govt payments, which promises to reduce bureaucratic hurdles and corruption.
The state cabinet had earlier adopted this transformative reform agenda during its first meeting immediately after the swearing-in of the new administration. The cabinet identified 24 citizen-centric initiatives as part of this five-year plan, touching upon citizens’ lives and aspirations.
Chief minister Pema Khandu emphasized the importance of this initiative on Friday, stating, “Our Reforms 3.0 initiative will propel the development of a Viksit Arunachal. District-level ‘Vision Plan’ aims at tailoring growth strategies to local needs. Central to this initiative is the focus on enhancing last-mile citizen service delivery, ensuring that every resident benefits from government services. By improving the ease of living and the ease of doing business, we wish to create a more conducive environment for citizens and enterprises. Transition to 100 pc online government payments will streamline processes and reduce corruption.”
