Arunachal hosp surgery saves critical patient
Itanagar: In a display of medical expertise under challenging conditions, doctors at Zonal General Hospital, Bomdila, in West Kameng district performed a life-saving emergency surgery on a critically ill patient suffering from intestinal obstruction and gastric perforation.The patient was diagnosed with acute intestinal obstruction accompanied by perforation, an official report said.The surgery, a Graham’s patch repair of the gastric perforation, was carried out by a team led by senior anaesthesiologist Dr Ani Siram and surgeon Dr Tomeru Rina.Hospital authorities said the patient is currently stable.
