614 youths donate blood in Mizoram

Aizawl: At least 614 young people across Mizoram celebrated Valentine’s Day on Saturday by donating blood. The blood donation event was organised jointly by the Association for Voluntary Blood Donation (AVBD), Mizoram State AIDS Control Society and the state National Health Mission, with the theme “Show Love, Give Blood”.AVBD leader K Zothanpara said the main event for the mass V-Day blood donation was held at the Dawrpui multi-purpose hall in Aizawl, with national level footballer JJ Lalpekhlua MLA inaugurating the camp as well as donating blood himself. Lalpekhlua made a fervent appeal to Mizoram youths to donate blood to save lives.Every blood donor was presented with a rose.
