2 teens die after scooter collides with truck

Itanagar: Two teenagers died in an accident on Sunday after their scooter collided with a dumper truck near Borum bridge, police said."The incident occurred at 1.18 pm. On receiving an emergency call, a police team was immediately rushed to the scene, who confirmed that both riders had died on the spot," Naharlagun SP Mihin Gambo said, reports Joken Ete. The victims have been identified as Md Tanveer Khan (18), a resident of Medawal village in Uttar Pradesh and Md Sahil Alam (17) from Bihar's Motihari district. Their bodies have been shifted to TRIHMS, Naharlagun, for post-mortem, the official said. Police has seized the dumper truck. The driver, Md Hasanur Islam (22), a native of Lakhimpur in Assam, has been detained for questioning. Police have registered a case and are probing the circumstances which led to the accident.
