Gurgaon: Two women labourers were injured after the roof of an old house collapsed during demolition work in the Roshanpura area on Wednesday afternoon.Police said the structure, estimated to be around 60 years old, was being demolished for reconstruction when a portion of the roof suddenly gave way around 12pm. An officer said, “The two women were working close to the structure and sustained minor injuries. They were immediately provided first aid and are stable”.A police team inspected the site after receiving information about the incident. Officials said they are determining the circumstances that led to the collapse.Police said preliminary findings suggest that the age and condition of the building may have contributed to the incident, though a detailed assessment is being carried out. Authorities are also looking into whether proper safety measures were in place during the demolition process.Police said no formal complaint has been received from the injured women.
