They were arrested from Delhi on Friday after the cyber crime cell received a tip-off. Police said the accused used to call people, posing as bank employees and offered them loans.
"They would make their victims complete all paper formalities to win their trust, get the security money from them and run away," said Hawa Singh, ACP (crime).
The accused were arrested based on a complaint lodged by Bijender Singh, a resident of Sector 7 extension, stating that two unknown persons had allegedly offered him a loan and taken Rs 1,25,000 in the name of security. After taken the money, duo disconnected their cellphone numbers and were untraceable.
