Gurgaon: Two unidentified bikers allegedly snatched an iPhone 16 mobile phone from a 25-year-old man travelling in an auto near a wine shop in Sector 44 on April 20.
Abhishek Shukla, a resident of DLF Park Place in Phase 5, told police that the incident took place around 10.25pm while he was returning home from a friend’s house.
He booked an auto from Sector 45 to his residence. During the journey, two motorcyclists, who had covered their faces with their helmets, approached the auto, snatched Shukla’s phone from his hand and fled. Despite attempting to chase them, the victim and the auto driver were unable to catch up or note the vehicle’s registration number.
A case was registered at the Sushant Lok police station under Sections 304 (snatching), 3(5) (act done by multiple persons) of the BNS against unknown persons. Police are yet to trace the accused, and further investigation is underway.
