A 50-year-old businessman in Farrukhnagar was robbed of around Rs 55,000, a gold chain and a mobile phone by three men who barged into his shop on Monday and held him at gunpoint.

GURUGRAM: A 50-year-old businessman in Farrukhnagar was robbed of around Rs 55,000, a gold chain and a mobile phone by three men who barged into his shop on Monday and held him at gunpoint.
The victim, Heer Lal Mangla, sells cattle feed in his shop. “The assailants held me hostage at gunpoint and asked to handover all the cash and valuables. One of them took around Rs 55,000 cash, the other two snatched my mobile phone and gold chain and immediately fled.

I could not even raise an alarm as they had threatened to kill me,” as Mangla stated in his complaint.
On the basis of the complaint, the three unknown assailants have been booked under IPC sections 392 (robbery) and 34 (common intention) and also under Section 25-54-59 of the Arms Act at Farrukhnagar police station.
Following this robbery, the traders in the area are living in fear and have demanded the police to arrest the accused soon. “Three special teams, including the crime unit, have been formed. We are conducting raids and the accused will be arrested soon,” said Krishan Kant Rohilla, SHO, Farrukhnagar police station.
