GURGAON: Three people, including a revenue official with Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation, were killed in a head-on collision between a truck and a car near Mokalwas village on Pachgaon-Jamalpur Road on Wednesday evening.
The victims, Kuldeep (40), a patwari with HSIIDC, Naval Singh (68), a retired Army havaldar, and Samay Singh (70) a farmer, were all residents of Pukharpur village. They were returning from Jamalpur in a Maruti Brezza when Kuldeep, who was driving, collided with a truck on the single-lane road around 6 pm. The impact mangled the car, trapping all three inside.
Local residents and passers-by pulled them from the wreckage and rushed them to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared all three brought dead.
While the truck driver fled the scene, police seized the vehicle. A case has been registered at Bilaspur police station under BNS sections 106 and 281 and the bodies sent for autopsy.
